WHF is registered as a Section 8 non-profit under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in India. We are a coalition of Indigenous People, botanists, scientists, researchers tree planters, educators, artists, media professionals, with a network of volunteers and collaborators, based out of India. We work with indigenous, urban communities and organisations for environmental conservation, nature-based climate action, habitat protection, afforestation, regenerative practices, big tree rescues and preserving conservation-centred Traditional Ecological Knowledge, by restoring habitat, empowering indigenous communities, doing pioneering documentation work, supporting changemakers and promoting human-nature coexistence. At the core of our work is Traditional Ecological Knowledge, an intermeshed tapestry of animist spirituality, empathy, flora and fauna knowledge, herbal medicine, natural farming, arts, crafts, music, dance and culture, all of which are based on sensing nature. Join the tribe and support our work.
