Since our expenses are regular, a small but steady monthly donation helps us manage the organisation and plan ahead much better than a one-time donation, so our first preference is for a monthly donation, however large or small it may be. We strongly request you to do a monthly donation, but if would like to do a one-time donation instead, we have that option as well, and will welcome that too with love and gratitude

Your contributions will be used for meeting costs related to our current projects. It would go towards tribal salaries and payments, materials and recurring costs related to tree plantation and sapling maintenance, tribal livelihood generation, agroforestry, team travel costs, wild food plant conservation.

Yes we are a (section 8) non-profit registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India. As per law we aren’t allowed to distribute profit as dividend, but we can use funds for running costs including salaries/wages, etc which we Currently ONLY pay to adivasis from forest dwelling communities.

What we do is not just tree plantations – it is an urban-tribal partnership where we generate income and nutrition for Adivasi women by planting climate-resilient livelihood trees that quickly produce fruits that support the lives of communities that protect the forest, and that too in the world’s last surviving forest inside a megacity that protects Mumbai, India’s financial from heatwaves and floods. In addition, we don’t just plant; we also do follow ups, maintain saplings after plantation, use the plantation events to initiate urban stakeholders into climate action and focus on reviving disappearing native wild food trees.

Sure, our current projects are in Aarey Forest, Mumbai and Karjat, but we are beginning work in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh India very soon. For the moment, we need help in Mumbai with fund raising; social media influencers to share and amplify our content, campaigns and crowd funders; presentable quality photography and videography, social media text, video editing and creating social media materials, managing finance and accounts, volunteers for sapling care visits in Aarey; subject experts and experiential educators for hosting and facilitating workshops, field trips, tree plantations and nature walks.
