World indigenous people’s Day 2024

In keeping with our collaboration and friendship with the Adivasi community of Mumbai’s urban forest we raised and disbursed funds to help the community organise food for the tribal participants of World Indigenous People’s day celebrations in Aarey Forest. Participants came from Various parts of Mumbai, Gorai, Palghar, Dahanu and Thane districts to celebrate their Adivasi identity and forest conservation culture, and displayed their cultural dances and songs wearing traditional costumes.

The community had reached out to us for assistance, and we crowdfunded through our networks to do our part to help make the eco-cultural event a grand success.
